A pulpotomy is a procedure performed on a tooth with a deep cavity that extends into the nerve (pulp) of the the tooth. The infected portion of the pulp is removed and the remaining pulp tissue is treated with a medicament. The tooth is then restored with a Stainless Steel Crown.
