Stainless Steel Crowns (SSC's) are prefabricated crown forms that are used to restore primary and permanent teeth. They are the treatment of choice following a pulpotomy (nerve treatment) on a primary tooth. They are also preferred for children with extensive decay or large multiple-surface cavities.
