Our Office Policies
Welcome to Children's Dental Center! We are dedicated to providing a positive and enjoyable dental experience for your child. Below are our office policies to help guide you through your visits with us.
Our office policies are designed so that your child's first visit is as smooth and seamless as possible.
First Visit Recommendations
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child’s first dental examination should occur by their first birthday. Early visits help instill comfort with dental care and set the foundation for a lifetime of great oral health.
Our Environment
Children's Dental Center was designed specifically for children. Our aim is to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere that encourages kids to look forward to their dental appointments. Our staff is specially trained to help anxious children feel comfortable and secure during their visits.
Parent Involvement
For children aged 3 and older, we ask that parents remain in the waiting room during the dental visit. This approach allows our staff to develop a relationship with your child and engage them fully in their dental care and education. After the exam, the doctor will discuss your child’s oral health and any recommended treatments with you.
Appointment Scheduling
To schedule an appointment, contact us directly or request an appointment using our convenient online form. We strive to accommodate your schedule, but please note that certain visits, such as treatment and emergencies, are scheduled at specific times. Young children are often best seen in the mornings, and appointments during before/after school hours are in high demand.
Rescheduling Policy
We request at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule an appointment. Missed appointments or frequent delays may extend your child’s treatment time, potentially worsening dental issues. Our goal is to keep your child’s treatment on track.
Financial Policies
We strive to provide high-quality dental care at an affordable price. If you provide your complete dental insurance information, we will submit claims on your behalf. For those without insurance, payment will be collected at the time of the appointment.
Accepted Payments
We accept various forms of payment, including cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Additionally, we offer CareCredit for extended payment options.
Insurance Information
Please present your dental insurance card at each appointment. If you have provided your complete insurance details, we will assist in submitting claims to help you maximize your benefits. We recommend that children receive a dental exam, cleaning, and fluoride treatment every six months, along with annual dental x-rays. Learn more about our accepted insurance plans.
Treatment Costs
Our office collects a portion of dental fees at the time of treatment based on estimated insurance coverage. Any remaining balance not covered by your insurance will be your responsibility. We encourage you to review your dental benefits with your insurance company prior to scheduling appointments. We look forward to meeting you and your child!
